COMPLETE STEP
MARBLE CAKE:
-
Sift the flour first. (It is nice to sift flour to remove lumps and ensure a fluffy cake instead of a dense one.)
-
In another bowl, using a mixer, mix the 150g block of butter with 180g of sugar. Mix until the texture is light and fluffy. After, slowly put the eggs one by one while mixing after each addition. Pour 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence and yogurt, then mix it again. Add the flour and mix for another round.
-
Separate 3/4 batter into another bowl to create 2 colours. (One would be the original colour and the other would be brown colour). To achieve the brown colour, mix the 1/4 of the batter with the cocoa powder.
-
In a cake pan, use a spoon and take turns scooping the plain batter and the brown batter, and place them in the cake pan to create a repeating pattern.
-
Use a toothpick to mix the repeating pattern to create a marble pattern.
